Tips for getting kids involved:
• Encourage a child to pick a recipe that looks good.
• Challenge kids to find a recipe's ingredients in the grocery store or farmer's market.
• Ask a child to help you chop something.
• Show and tell kids about the ingredients you used to make their meal.
• Teach a child how to set the table.
• Ask children to put a cup of water at everyone's place.
• Sit down and eat together.
• Ask him or her about the day.
• Take a vote on which part of dinner tastes best.
• Reward a child when he or she tries something new. (Eat some risotto, get a cookie after dinner. Not a bad deal).
• Enjoy one another.
